Hi to the Alfa Romeo, BMW, Peugeot, and Citroen clubs of Qld. We are pleased to offer the member rate to your membership for participation in our Happy Laps session. Below is the first email sent out just yesterday, for our first HL session for 2026. Note, on the Self-Scrutineering form, members of your clubs will need to complete the fields for Club and Membership number so that we know they are members of one of the clubs to which we are offering this arrangement.

Hi all,
We are off to a new year of Happy Laps and our first of seven is on Sunday 22 February at Queensland Raceway. A number of things have changed for 2026, as you would have seen in the email I sent out in December, so please read this email carefully as well as the attached flyer. The costs to us have risen again and we have now had to increase our prices for Happy Laps by $7 to drivers. Also, more information is now required from you, so the Self-Scrutineering form has been updated to Revision 26 (ie 2026). Only this form will be accepted so don’t send an old one. I have also attached the AASA Indemnity forms such that you can read the agreement that you will be required to sign on the day. Don’t fill out the form, it is provided only so that you can read it. I will enter the details from the information you provide on the SS form R26.
We have kept the price for passengers at $40 and now all children under 13 are free (minimum age is 7). On the SS form, only the names of children and their ages are required, the contact details should be those of the responsible adult.

CC’ing me is important, I record most of the data and act as a cross-check for Peter, and I am the backup in the event an email is overlooked. Use the attached Self-Scrutineering Form R26 (attached).
Please try to make your booking before the preceding Wednesday, 18 February; earlier is much prefered. Payment should be made on receipt of this booking confirmation—details in the flyer and please note the bank account name, which is now also important. If you book and pay, then subsequently need to cancel, we will refund your payments as long as you don’t leave it until the morning of the event to tell us.
NB. Qld Raceway sometimes wants us on the track earlier than normal, so please be at QR by 7am sharp. We need more time to process the list now with the added imposition of checking all driver’s licences and getting you to sign the AASA Indemnity Form. Too many are arriving during the briefing, and some after that, as the cars are going out onto the track. You have been warned; if you miss the sign-in and briefing, you will miss going out on the track.
After Happy Laps, you are free to stay and watch whatever is on at QR that day, or you are welcome to join us for a late breakfast at the Queens Park Cafe in Ipswich.
